Weigh-In and Question of the Day!!

Weigh-In:
Yesterday I weighed in at 201.0 pounds!! Onederland, just one more pound and I will be yours forever! :)

So yesterday was a great day. I ate about near perfect, ate right at 1,100 healthy calories and ended my dad with a 45 minute hardcore cardio workout. I feel as if I may have hit the 200 pound mark today but when I got on the scale this morning the battery light was blinking. It is so dead it won't even give me one last weigh-in. I frantically ran around the house trying to find those flat circular batteries and couldn't find any.

Oh well. I will just have to be good today, get some batteries at the store and hope for the best tomorrow. Thank you everyone for your encouraging words! I figured the last time I was in onederland was probably around 10th grade...so about 10 years ago. As of yesterday I have officially lost 59 pounds...hoping for the big 60 tomorrow!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:

I decided to start a little thing called "Question of the Day" or "QOTD". Some of you already do this on your own blog but sometimes random questions pop into my head, usually band related or nutrition related, and I wonder how I compare to some of you.

My question for today is....On average, how many calories do you try to eat a day to lose weight or maintain your weight if you have already hit goal? I say "try" because sometimes we overdo it and eat way too much, not on purpose of course :) But on average I try to stay around 1,200 calories. Sometimes it may be a little lower around 1,100 and sometimes I eat up to 1,400 but most of the time I am a stickler for counting every calorie I put in my mouth and I try to keep that around 1,200.

Hope yall have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  1. yay for you! I can't wait to see that onederland mark for you!

I usually try to stick to just about 1200cals a day give or take. Some days not so much but I track my food as much as possible. I am still losing too.

  5. I try for 11 to 1200 a day, but wine is usually what puts me over, but I'm at the point I don't care how long it takes me, as long as I get there!

  6. So glad you are doing well. I find that I lose well at around 1000-1200 per day. I think my metabolism is shot though. I still haven't quite figured out the best range yet. I guess one day I will get there!

  8. YAY! Congrats! I aim for around 1200 a day as well and am still loosing (I was also 201 yesterday:)) so we are on the same track! I do go as high as 1400 when I have a good work out, or as low as 1100, but rarely lower. I am loosing at that, so I figure as it is working I will stick with it! Congrats again!

What torture to not be able to weigh due to the battery! Fingers crossed for a BIG post tomorrow!

  11. Woot! Onederland is just a blink away!

I'd like to think I eat between 1200-1400 but I haven't been tracking lately.

  13. Onederland is sooooo close (for me too, I am at 203!) I am so excited for you, I hope you see 199 soon! For the QOTD, I stick to right around 1200 calories a day--I don't count them usually, I just know what I average. Every once in a great while when I need to reset my thinking I will keep a food diary just to make sure I am being realistic. Can't wait for both of us to hit onederland!

  14. So close!!! Damn scale!

I look forward to your hitting onederland!

I haven't figured out the best range, but I shoot for between 1000-1200.

  15. 1200 to 1400 for me, when I'm counting.

Yay for Onederland being so close!

  16. Congrats on being so close to 60 pounds down!

Using really gross calculations, I should be eating around 1100 calories a day to lose a pound a week. Livestrong says I should be eating 1440 calories a day. I realistically shoot for an average of 1300 a day, but 1400 seems more like my average. I guess I'm really fortunate for my weight loss history and age that these calories work for me. (I'm losing really slowly right now, but I'm almost there!)

  17. You are SO close!!!

As far as calories, I am one of the non-trackers. I track protein loosely, and water. One of the promises I made to myself was that I wasn't going to turn this into a diet, because that hasn't worked in the past. The band controls my hunger enough that I don't really eat enough to worry too much. I am happy with my rate of loss for now, so I am going to keep doing what I'm doing!

  18. I always eat between 1100-1200 calories but I am re-evaluating now.... so I may cut it or just see what happens now that I am starting strength training.... I am not happy with how slow my weight loss is right now, but we all have lulls.
