I had to crinkle paper in front of the camera to get him to look in the right direction!

Love him!

My new Too Faced eyeshadow palette. Yes, I love it.

In some lap band related news, I have my next doctor's appointment on September 8th which is only 10 days away. I am trying my hardest (with the exception of my lunch today at Five Guys Burgers and Fries...OOOPS!) to be strict with my diet. This past week...Monday thru Friday...I have probably eaten the healthiest I ever have since my surgery last October. I didn't eat out at a restaurant at all....nothing....nada....and it felt really good (and saved me some money!) I also tried Greek Yogurt for the first time and I really like it. My mom has eaten it for years and I decided to get it a try. I have eaten that for breakfast all week and added some fresh fruit in it too. Its really good and gives you a decent amount of protein. Oh does anyone have a healthy chicken salad recipe? I have been looking online but I cant find anything semi-healthy. I love chicken salad with shredded chicken, grapes, celery and whatever else...but most recipes call for so much mayo! Any suggestions or alternatives?

Let's talk numbers. I have lost 9 pounds since my last visit to the doctor a month ago and I am happy with those results. How much further along would I be in my weight loss journey if I was consistently losing 9 pounds a month? Goodness...I would have lost 90 pounds by now. But I know everyone has good weeks and bad weeks...good months and bad months. Its totally a learning experience and I am 100% fine with that. We cant change the past (including how I cheated this afternoon and ate a loaded cheeseburger at Five Guys) and that is ok. You only live once so pick yourself up, brush yourself off and keep on going.

Have a fabulous Sunday afternoon!

  1. Oh sweet Jesus...those burgers are delish! Your arms look so tiny! I had a dog named Simba too! He was a Keeshond and he was my first baby before my real babies were born!

  2. You have such a positive outlook and my goodness you photograph well! I am so envious of your looks!!! I can't wait to meet you in Chicago! :)

  3. What a great month - 9 lbs is awesome. I'm losing pretty slowly, but it is what it is. As long as I keep doing well 90% of the time, I'm happy. I do need to up my exercise, though. That has been lacking.

  4. I love your page and your photos.... how cute is your puppy simba and buddy..... nawwwwwww.

Loved the photos. You are stunning and i love the make up.

Love love love photos so im glad i have found another blogger who likes posting pics :D

  5. Dear Kristen,
    1. Please don't stand next to me in Chicago. You are too pretty.
    2. Please do my eye make up in Chicago
    3. I am to blame for you not being on the BOOBs list. I will get on it ASAP - I swear!!!

  6. Just mix some chicken with some greek yogurt and add in grapes or anything else you want - delish!

    You look great, as always!
